I know that the 43cm Planet Doll Riz wears a 7.5" wig, but the 8" wig cap fits her perfectly.  This will fit other dolls with an 8" head.  Available in Buff, Charcole Brown and Black. 

Wig caps are useful when worn under wigs to help them stay put.

Wig caps are also used during wig-making with the hair being sewn directly onto the wig cap.
